The crystals are genuine white sapphire, known for durability and scratch resistance. They replace watches originally fitted with a plastic crystal with sapphire. Each is cut and polished to provide a 2.5x magnification for the cyclop. The flat top shape preserves the watch's appearance, while the domed bottom provides space for the watch hands.
